Steps for changing the network name


Sometimes you fill the internet speed issues that it is slow down suddenly. You have to make sure that the system is connected to the right router. To check this switch off the router and check your computer or laptop. If it found any connected network then you might have to change the SSID of the router.


There are two methods which can be followed to change the network name.
Method 1:-
Step 1:-Enter the address http://dlinkrouter.local into the address bar by launching the browser. You will be prompt to the page DlinkRouter Login.
Step 2:-Here you need to enter the password for your admin account in the given field. If the password is not changed from the default then leave it blank.
Step 3:-Click on the wireless from the drop-down menu by moving the cursor to the setting.
Step 4:-Type a new SSID next to the space of Wi-Fi name. In order to access the wireless network, the wirelesses clients need to connect tone SSIS. Wireless clients configurations may require filling for this. You have to specify the different SSID for the 2.4GHZ.front panel of dlink di-sr router explained.
  Step 5:-To save the configuration click on save settings.
   Method 2:-
Step 1:-Go to the webpage address https://www.mydlink.com and you will reach to the Dlink Router Login page

Step 2:-With your existing mydlink login id and password log in to account.
Step 3:-Here you have to choose the router from my devices options. Then go to setting tab
Step 4:-Go to basic settings where you have to enter the new SSID in the wifi network name field.
Step 5:-If you have made changes then save settings here.
Step 6:-Here you will have a window which asks you to confirm for applying the new settings to routers. Click on YES to confirm the settings to apply. It will take up to 80 save the changes and reboot the device.
